Pamela Love

Jewelry Designer

| Williamsburg

A lapis cabochon nestled in a gold snake chain, arrow-tipped studs and a moonstone-encrusted bangle, designer Pamela Love’s totemic accessories are grounded in elements inherent to American folklore. The Brooklyn-based designer is remarkably well-versed in the art world (she is the former assistant of painter Francesco Clemente and studied film and art direction at NYU’s Tisch School) so she is constantly drumming up ways to meld the two worlds. Take, for example, this season’s Southwestern cuff featuring a traditional rug motif hammered into brass or the Art Deco-inspired pendant hanging from her Small Reflection necklace: both are contemporary pieces that could nearly double as beloved family heirlooms. Now that is something worth cherishing. Here, Love sits down with CITIPHILE to reveal her little black book on NYC.
