Naeem Khan

Designer

| SoHo

Few do “all-out glam” like women’s wear designer Naeem Khan— his client list is a bonafide “who’s who” of fashion’s favorite leading ladies— think Diane Kruger, Nicole Richie and (America’s unofficial or not-so unofficial queen) the one-and-only Beyoncé. Given the amount of detail Khan works into his designs, the myriad of floor-skimming gowns practically guarantee themselves a red carpet hit though— seldom is there a piece without beading, pleating or appliqué. Even so, we don’t mean to imply the Indian designer limits himself to strictly formalwear. In his latest spring collection, Khan presented an unusually casual mix-up of baseball tees, sweatshirts and track pants of the (wait for it) glittery persuasion. But hey, our girls Krugs and Queen B gotta keep it real sometimes, are we right? Here, Khan sits down with CITIPHILE to reveal his little black book on NYC.
