From the Archives: Alina Baikova

THE CP CONTRIB AND UKRAINIAN BEAUTY TAKES US THROUGH HER FUN-FILLED ARCHIVES

Between inventing the first-ever digital florist app and strutting down the runways of designers like Lanvin, Christian Dior and John Galliano, there’s no questions that Alina Baikova’s career is in full bloom. But, before Baikova was flying to St. Barths for Dolce & Gabbana or hitting the slopes of Courchevel, she was living a simpler life as a waitress in her hometown of Kirovograd. When a modeling agent came into the restaurant to conduct uniform fittings, she asked Baikova to “walk” for her and soon, Baikova found herself in modeling school (as the only classmate not to be charged for lessons, BTW), only to move to China for three months before getting signed by Next Models– now, how’s that for a modern-day Cinderella story? Since, the Ukrainian stunner has graced the pages of Vogue Ukraine, Vogue Australia, Harper’s Bazaar Spain, ELLE and Grazia France to name a few. Here, we take a look through her archives at some of our favorite shots.
