On Our Radar: HANLEY

NICOLE HANLEY MELLON PUTS A SPIN ON CLOSET CLASSICS WITH HER NAMESAKE LABEL, HANLEY.

HANLEYFINAL

Each season, HANLEY draws inspiration from a far-away place— whether that be Kenya or St. Barths— uniquely grounding its designs in cultures, not trends. In fact, Hanley Mellon often takes in colors, patterns and textures from her own travels, then uses her eye for classic cuts (no doubt, a by-product of her Ralph Lauren days) to deliver pieces that feel both spirited and clean, colored, but modern. For Resort ’16, St. Barths served as a canvas for cropped tunics, wrap-around dresses and slouchy trousers— the kind of unfussy wardrobe you’d want whilst roaming a luxury-ridden beach. The collection, out now, has us practically pining for a sun-filled vacation, but until then, we can at least dress the part. Snag a few of our favorite pieces, including an ivory safari jacket and cropped tunic top below.

1. Red Floral Maxi Sundress ($895)

2. Matte Jersey Safari Jacket ($575)

3. Boat Neck Top ($295)

4. Boy Chino Pant ($275)

5. Crepe Lapel Dress ($495)
