We’ve mentioned this week’s contribs, Scott Studenberg and John Targon, are sizzling hot– together, they’re two of the most handsome humans we’ve ever seen– but their joint label, Baja East, is what’s most on fire. The brand launched just over three years ago with the intention of turning age-old fashion on its head: it would deliver gender neutral apparel with no-fuss, luxe appeal. Fast-forward to today and the label’s done just that (not to mention, the two appear extremely prescient when reflecting on the gender-focused media of late). Is it any surprise that some of their biggest clients include Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus? Probably not, but it’s surely a major testament to Studenberg and Targon’s talent. Rolling out four collections per year, the brand is celebrated for its billowy trousers, airy tunics, robes and wearable tees. On one hand, it’s beachy California cool at its best: geometric tribal prints reign supreme; on the other, it’s NYC grit meets glam: silk pajama suits and heavy metal chains galore.

Looks from Pre-Fall ’16

For Pre-Fall ’16, Baja East presented something for everyone– think cutout jumpsuits for your fashion friends, fringed shawls for your mom, oversized shearling parkas for your boyfriend and indigo silk suiting for all. Raiding your boyfriend’s/mom’s/sister’s/significant other’s closet has never looked so good. #NowThats2016. CP
